The plans
Section titled “The plans”MailSandbox offers four plans, from a free tier for individuals up to Studio for large teams. Every plan includes the SMTP sandbox; paid plans add email inspection and sharing links, and charge mainly by active project rather than by seat.

How limits work
Section titled “How limits work”Your plan sets the ceiling on a few things:
- Monthly emails — how many messages can be captured each month, plus a short-term rate limit to prevent floods
- Active projects — how many non-archived projects you can have at once. This is the main dimension paid plans charge on
- Max email size — the largest single message, including attachments, that can be captured
Team members and client reviewers are unlimited on every paid plan, as are inboxes: invite whoever needs access without worrying about a seat count. A generous technical ceiling still applies purely to prevent abuse.
An “active” project is simply one that is not archived. Archiving a finished project stops it from capturing new email and removes it from your active-project count immediately, while keeping it, and everything captured in it, fully restorable later.
You can watch your consumption on the usage screen, and we email you before you hit your monthly limit rather than after. Upgrade at any time to raise these limits, or contact us about a volume add-on if a single project needs more room than its plan gives it.
