Team members & testers

Organisation members

Members belong to your organisation and can be given access to its projects. Invite them from the organisation’s Members settings by email; they receive an invitation and, once accepted, appear in your team with a role that controls what they can do.

Project team

Each project has its own team. Add the members who should be able to see that client’s inboxes and captured email, and leave everyone else out. This is how agencies keep one client’s work invisible to another.

Testers

Testers are a lightweight kind of access for people who only need to send email into a project’s inboxes — for example a client’s developer, or a QA contractor. They can push test messages in without being full members of your organisation.

Members vs. testers

Add someone as a member when they need to review and manage email in MailSandbox; add them as a tester when they only need to send email into an inbox.

Client reviewers

A client reviewer is just a member, invited with “Can view all projects” turned off and scoped to only the project or projects they should see. They can browse and review captured email in those projects, but have no access to billing, organisation settings, other projects, or deleting anything. Unlike a tester, they never send email in; they only review what has already been captured.

Client reviewers are unlimited on every paid plan, so you never have to weigh inviting a client against your seat count.
